Rain Screen

Whether you have a new or existing building, rainscreen cladding can be attached. A form of double-wall construction, rainscreen cladding uses two layers to protect against the elements and the unpredictable British weather! An inner layer provides thermal insulation while an outer level keeps the rain out. It can also carry wind loading and prevent excessive air leakage.

Significantly, the structural frame of the building is kept completely watertight. This is because drainage and evaporation in the cavity removes any water that enters between the panel joints. During severe adverse weather, a small amount of water may enter the outer cladding however this is removed as detailed above.
